Recently I was in Berlin where I visited the Mauermuseum near the famous "Checkpoint Charlie", as one of the main symbols of the Cold War era. The museum, with its wall remains, represents both Berlin's and global history, especially when it comes to military aspects and history of ideas. The museum also covers the history of NATO and can be seen as a place influenced by ideas of militarism, transatlanticism, westernism and also of democracy, communism and liberalism. When you are in Berlin, go for a visit.
Me in "post-communism mode". The old DDR (East Germany) emblem can bee seen.
